Kitchen Kettle Village: A village within a village

    by Rich62 Updated Nov 11, 2012

Kitchen Kettle Village is a sort of outdoor mall, but feels more like a older small town main street with no car traffic. Its fun to browse. There are lots of food-related shops, so you won't leave hungry. It sits right along Route 340 (Old Philadelphia Pike) in the middle of Intercourse, Pennsylvania. But its easy to miss because mostk of the shops are a half-block off of the highway.

What to buy: all kinds of items: fabric bags, Amish toys, sweatshirts, teddy bears, brass decorating accessories, music boxes, figurines, animated clocks, floral decor, shoes, fine art, etc.

food: fudge, whoopie pies, cookies, shoofly pies, handrolled pretzels, ice cream, coffee, kettle corn, smoked meats, soups, sandwiches, salads, etc.

    What to pay: reasonable prices

Address: Old Philadelphia Pike, Intercourse, PA

The Good Cooking Store: A modern kitchen shop in the heart of Amish land

    by Rich62 Written Oct 8, 2011

Although this is a very nice kitchen store, it may not be what you expect in this location. This is a completely modern store with virtually no Amish influence. I guess you could say it is a nice change-of-pace from other stores in the area.

What to buy: All kinds of kitchen-related items.

    What to pay: reasonable

    Address: 3474 Old Philadelphia Pike

Directions: Old Philadelphia Pike is highway 340
