Pappadeux Tips (4)

Pappadeaux: Cajun seafood taken to a new level.

Another great restaurant from the Pappas family, based in Houston. This restaurant easily the best and most trendy Cajun inspired restaurant in the Dallas Fort-Worth Area. Great Salads, fresh oysters, and all the spicy seafood that you expect from a quality Cajun restaurant. Nice bar atmosphere as well. Expect to be busy on the weekends and prepare yourself for a filling and rich meal.

Favorite Dish Oysters Rockefeller, Greek Salad, banana pudding!

Pappadeaux Seafood: Best Seafood In Dallas

The atmosphere at Pappadeaux is quant and welcoming. You may have to wait a short time to be seated but it is well worth your time. The food is hard to put into word. It has a slight Louisiana twist mixed a southern style. Everything comes in large portions and the pricing is not like comparable to a 5 star restaurant although you will leave feeling like you ate at one. Everything on the menu is superb including the drinks and desserts. This is a sure winner!!!!

Favorite Dish Crawfish Etouffee, Fried Crawfish, Fried Cat Fish Fillet, Gumbo, Salads, Swamp Thing (Drink)

Pappadeux: Dirty Rice!

Tried my first deep fried alligator at this restaurant. They served them in a 'popcorn chicken' style. And they kinda tasted like chicken too, with a little bit difference in texture.

We came in on a Sunday night around 8PM, and got a seat very promptly. Which was good. That would not have been the case if it was a Friday or a Saturday night. There would have been long lines of people. The place is very nice & homey. There's a little water fountain outside, and it would be very nice to dine outside too.

The food was very good, and the portions were big too. I ordered the 'blackened catfish'. It was excellent. It came with grilled oysters in and their famous 'dirty rice'. You've gotta try their 'dirty rice'!

Favorite Dish Blackened catfish & Dirty rice

Pappadeux: Cajun fare, anyone?

Large, noisy place where they serve up some really good Cajun/Creole grub! YUMMY!!! Pappadeaux is a chain of restaurants that all start with "pappa...." The service was excellent and the manager was very accommodating when we informed him that we have someone in our group who is VERY allergic to shellfish.

Favorite Dish Crawfish etouffee, fried crawfish, fried alligator, any of their specials.....I LOVE the food here! They also have specialty drinks like the Swampthing.
