First National Bank, Glen Rose
This lovely old building was once the First National Bank Building. Constructed of native limestone and built in 1896. Its early days was a saloon. The upper level hosted dances, socials, and stage shows.
Later in 1902, it became the home for the First National Bank building. In 1917 the bank had a bit of excitement, it was the scene of a robbery and the shooting of a bandit. Today it is home to the Somervell County Heritage Center.
