    Granbury's Candlelight Christmas Tour

by VeronicaG Updated Jan 22, 2009

We rang in the holiday season at Granbury's Candlelight Tour of wonderful old houses in early December. Since it was the tour's 25th year, twenty five historic residences and buildings were open to the public. Twinkle lights, big red bows, ornamented trees and guides in period costumes welcomed us on the tour.

Entertainment of all types was provided at different venues about town. Darla Hildebrant and Southern Charm presented a great selection of gospel music at the Plaza Outdoor Pavilion; The Granbury Saxophone Quartet filled Langdon Cultural Center with lively tunes, then Big Daddy and the Butter Biscuits presented an amusing mini-concert titled A Victorian Beehive Christmas!

A complimentary hot cocoa station was set up across from Courthouse Square and horse-drawn carriage rides were offered. Tickets were $15 per person and well worth the price. We had a fabulous time! For more information on this seasonal event, see website below.
