Other Spectator Sports, Houston
The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer team playing at the Robertson Stadium located at the University of Houston. There is a long history of soccer in Houston which you can read on the website. This team relocated from San Jose and began representing Houston on April 1st 2006.
It's a lively game and worst a visit!
Check out the crazy chanting, drumming and band playing from the stand on the Holman Street side (pic 1). A wider view of the field is given in pic 2.

Many great golf courses in Houston at good rates. During the summer the best prices have you teeing off around 1 to 3pm which is of course the hottest time of the day. One of my favorites is Wildcat Golf Club. They have 36 holes of great golf and the course is always in incredible shape. Green fees run 30 to 50 dollars for 18 with a cart but is worth it.
Equipment: They rent clubs if needed.

Houston is not a very exciting town, but it is big. If you need to be within 30 minutes of Spring, your best bet is to stay near Greenspoint and the airport area.
If our interested in shooting, there are indoor ranges around, just look in the telephone book. If you want to go fishing, I would recommend going to Galveston. You can charter a boat, fish in the bay, or off a pier. For motorsports your choices are limited. There are drag racing strips, dirt bike tracks, and dirt oval track racing, but they don't race every week.
Here's some racing links:
Hope you enjoy your stay in Texas,
