This is a "living museum" dedicated to the "sea turtle lady" Ila Loetscher. You can see the sea turtles and learn all about them and the efforts to preserve them. Hours are 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day (closes at 4 PM the rest of the year. There is a "suggested" donation. Nice mural outside.
A neat place for the whole family to see. They rescue and try to rehabilitate injured sea turtles. There are always at least 4-5 big turtles swimming in large tanks. They ask a $3-a-head donation and give you about a half hour talk on their history and work. A high light is to be there for feeding time. On occasion they also have a small kiddie pool full of hatchlings waiting to be let loose in the open water.
You probably won't spend more than an hour there, but it's a nice place to go when you want to get out of the Sun for a while.
