Virginia Beach takes lots of pride in its boardwalk area. It is very nice. There is a very wide area for strolling, rollerblading and pushing baby carriages.
Then there is a two lane track running parallel for bikes and tandoms.
This boardwalk is very nice and lined with vendors in season and also plenty of benches for people and beach watching.
Virginia Beach Amusement Park is located on the boardwalk at 15th street, across the street from the pier. Lots of rides, games, slides, music, moonwalks, plenty of family fun for little ones up to adults. Grab a Virginia Beach Guide out of one of those boxes on the street I talked about in a general tip for saving money in this town. You will find a $5.00 coupon good for all the members in your party, am all day wristband.
I am not really a beach person, I dont like the sand it gets everywhere, but the beach in Virginia Beach is so clean, and soft (each night it is cleaned) and you cant not take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean, where swimming not too many yards away you will see dolphins leaping and diving, oh its such a wonderful sight and something I will always remember.
Virginia Beach has a lovely beach. A railed walkway runs along it's edge for several blocks. The restaurants along the walkway have large window seating which makes it an enjoyable dinning area, day or night. I'ts not unusual for the beach to loose it's sand, as it did in the hurricane this year, but the sand will be hauled in and the beach will be replaced to be enjoyed once more.
It's popular with the young crowd in the summer making it somewhat over populated.
Located down near 30th to 34th street, they have this Big Beach Ball on the boardwalk so you can take pictures of your children.
They have things located along the boardwalk for photo ops.
Next, you have to check out the ocean, beach and boardwalk and see how nice your view is from your room.
Excellent as always, a great amenitie from the hotel and something else FREE to do
