Bingen Things to Do
Sailboard Park: Bingen Point and...
The Port of Bingen has set aside a small piece of port property and redeveloped it into a picnic spot and place with primitive ramps down to the water for those wish to launch their sailboards. Expect the winds to be reasonably strong through this area. The park is accessed through either gravel roads or an all-paved route. As the point sticks out into the river a bit, it is possible to see east and west up and down river a little ways.
As seen in the first photograph, due to the winds this can also be a good spot to watch and perform acrobatic kite flying.Related to:

Bingen Speed Rock
This monument, set up in Bingen's Sailboard Park, is for those who have set speed records in their parasailing efforts on the Columbia River at Bingen.
Don't get your hopes up too much: no names have been added to the rock since 1992 or so.Add to your Trip Planner
