The picture shows the exact kind of atmosphere you get when you go to Sonoman (of course we should add some background music). You can sit in the patio, which is a nice place too either if you go in the summer or in the winter, cos they put a roof and turn on the heaters. Unless it's reaaaally cold (less than 8°C) then you can choose one of the tables there.
The music is quite varied. Once I got to listen a whole Björk cd! (I'm a fan...) but that was only once. You get everything from the 80s, 90s and 2000. No latin music at all.
There's no dancing here, but it's a great place to go with friends to have some beers or cocktails or you can even go to have dinner.
As every bar in Buenos Aires, people start to arrive as from 12 am. So if you want to get a table, try not to arrive after that time.
The prices are average, compared to other similar places.
In case you're wondering, Sononam was (or is?) a famous Argentine cartoonist.
Dress Code There's not a particular dress code here. Casual in general.
Sonoman is my kind of place. Decent music. Great crowd. An all around excellent atmosphere.
We first came here after my first VT meeting in Buenos Aires that Friday night in March of 2005. I have since been back several times including during that same trip the next night with Mike and Iwona. You will find this place recommended by many VT locals in BsAs and for sure they do know what they’re talking about.
They also serve food here although I have yet to try it.
Dress Code It is a trendy place and people will generally look the part. But don’t worry. I’ve never noticed anyone standing over the door telling people not to come in.
This is a small restaurant/bar in Palermo. I LOVE the music they play there!
It's nice to go just for a drink or maybe eat something. All the food I've tried was great.

Es lindo ir a tomar solo un trago o bien comer algo. Toda la comida que probe ahi era excelente.
