Natal Things to Do
The Dunes at Geripabu
This is such a fun adventure! You hire someone to take you out on a buggy onto the dunes about 1/2 hr. north of Natal. Throughout the year, the dunes change shape with the wind, changing the paths that the buggy travels. There are trails all over, so the buggy drives up walls of sand, down, spinning, curling around hills and through bushes. It's the most fun! The buggy will also take you on the beach and splash through the ocean... Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.Add to your Trip Planner
Cajueiro de Pirangi
This is a grove of cashew trees but it is all one made of two trees...the largest in the world. The roots of the tree grow in and out of the ground and has produced an entire forest!
Along the exit, there are woman selling hand-made lace textiles, people selling Brazilian artifacts and treats.Add to your Trip Planner
ski bunda! (skii butt)
Go to santa Monica Parque das Aguas....there's a huge sand hill and you are taken to the top via a coaster lift. When at the top, you are given a foam board that you sit on. With a push, you go flying down this sandy hill and at the bottom, splash into a lagoon. It's really fun!Add to your Trip Planner
food court: Brazilian Cafeterias
The Mall is a great place to eat. Many choices in restaurants. All the locals eat there. It is like a small cafeteria, Brazilian style, you put whatever you like on your plate and they weight it. Very inexpensive. This country likes to serve coke with no ice. I have to have alot of ice. There is alway McDonalds.
Favorite Dish: I like the goulash dishes.Related to:
