Carretão Tips (5)

CarretAo: Meal on time-basis in Rio

Budget time-basis restoran with 15-20 different meal, constantly rolling and bringing a new meat to you. If you wan't a salad you need to take up and walk at most 8 steps. Nice restoran with small kitchen.

Carretao: Close but no cigar...

This is another Churrascaria like Porcao, but different. Still the same all you can eat type of restaurant. The Salad bar has a variety of salads and sushi, and the waiters bring the meat on squres and shave it off onto your plate. We tried this place first before the highly recommeded, Porcao, andwe were in awe. We love it and thought it was the best place, until we tried Procao. This place is almost half the price and jsut as good, but with a lot less variety.

Favorite Dish The meat is the best part! So slow down on the salad bar an leave more room for the meat.

Carretao: All you can eat beef. That's a LOT of beef.

A wonderful place where, for a set price, you can eat as much cow as you like. A tip would be to starve for a couple of days first. Wonderful salad bar as in most restaurants in Brazil it seems. But here the salad's not the point.

Favorite Dish Erm, everything?

Carretão Churrascaria & Shenanigans: Carretão & Shenanigans - Ipanema

I REALLY liked this place, in comparison to the Copa one, this one had a more "carioca" family oriented crowd...and just better!

The food was great, i never tried so many different kind of meats at the same time!....
There was about 10 different salads, all kind of appetizers and side orders even sushi !

The boss/manager went around asking how everybody was doing....

The Carretão Barbecue House opens at 11:00 fom Monday to Sunday and remains open until the last customer.

Favorite Dish Shenanigans was way to crowded! You couldnt move there and it seemed as any irish pub would....A few of cariocas advised this place and find it very interesting, but i dont think i'd ever go there....its just another pub.

Carretão Churrascaria: Carretão - Brazilian Barbecue House - Copacabana

The thing that is different and quite noticable in comparison to the Ipanema one is the audience.....well all i can say is its the Copacabana audience.

The food and service is splendid.
