Otavalo Indigenous Market Day Trip from Quito
"Your tour begins with early morning pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Quito. From there you will drive in a private vehicle to Otavalo and its marketplace and learn all about the culture and community. Driving there we can admire the gorgeous scenery and the Andes mountain range. On the way we will stop at San Pablo lake and head to the viewpoint to take some pictures and where we will try some delicious biscochos (local traditional buttery cookies). Once we will reach Otavalo you and your private guide will walk through the market to see the different stands and local people. Otavalo is one of most visited indigenous market filled with rich in traditions and customs. As you walk you will admire the multicolored handcrafts and souvenirs and purchase some if you'd like. You will also learn about indigenous weaving workshops as you visit one.
