One morning I got up early and I was having my cafe con leche as I observed how things function around here. The guys selling fruits roll by yelling "bananas se vende verdes" and then another couple guys drive by on their motorcycles with fresh fish thats in a little basket on the back of their bikes and they go by all the restaurants yelling to see who wants to buy it. Those that do stand out there till what they wants comes around, they negociate a price and everyone is happy.
Whatever you want to call it, its here.
Montanita has a culture all its own. I am not sure how some the the people survive besides making and selling some jewlery. You can find hemp bracelets and anklets, and necklaces. Beads, tiedied clothes. They also perform at night for the tourists with fire dances, juggling, dancing, playing music.
San Ignacio de Loyola
The church is open the whole day and most of the night. Usually no one is in there.
