Wenshu Monastery

people say that if there is just one Buddist Temple to visit in Chengdu, this is to be Wenshu Monastery.
I personaly did not find it particulary interesting, maybe because after you see so many of them, it doesn't feel the same, but still it's worth visiting. It's one of the famous Buddist temple's in China and is considered to be one of the four major temples of Zen Buddism.
I will not provide you with all history facts, as it is too boring, but you will find about it in any guide or on the back of your ticket you'll buy to enter the site. By the way ticket costs just 5 RMB.
The thing which I will remeber about this temple is that the monks from here are not particulary friendly. Wherever I go I take pictures, lots of pictures and I was doing so there as well. Normally I try to be polite and not to take pictures of people if they do not want it or read the signs and take pictures only where it allowed to, I can understand the privacy issue. But there was a monk who thought I want to take pictures of him, and who was really agressive towards me, I was really disapointed and angry, because actually he was just standing in front of the shots I choosed to take and he wouldn't make a better shot in any way, just making it worse. after his being rude, I did explained him in sign language about his inpoliteness.
One more interesting fact - if you take a look inside the rooms of the monks when passing through monastery you can notice how local monks spend their time, no... not in prairs... they just play cards! :)

"temple of Marquis Wu"

The temple, initially constructed in the Southern and Northern Dynasties(420-589AD), is the shrine mainly dedicated to the memory of Zhuge Liang(Kong Ming) and Liu Bei, the beloved Prime Minister and the emperor of The Kingdom of Shu Han. In 1961, The State Council chose it as a leading unit of cultural relics. To preserveit, a museum was set up in 1984. The present temple covers 80 mu(53,333 square meters).

This temple is memorizing the king Liu Bei and his liegemans of Han dynasity in chinese history,such as Kong Ming,Guan Yu,Zhang Fei and so on.
Liu Bei was a wise king and his following men were brave and loyal,so this period of history can move one to praises and tears.

Kong Ming,called Zhu Geliang too,is soul of wisdom of chinese.Using his wisdom Kong Ming helped Liu Bei to build up the country of Shu Han.

This report displayed Kong Ming's loyalty to Shu Han country.It is affecting and sorrowful.
This script was handwrited by Yue Fei,he was a famous chinese national hero of Song dynasty.
