Don't miss South Indian Food in Bangalore!
by Kumarjit about Temptations
South India is famous for its special dishes and anyone visiting the South should not miss the South Indian delicacies that are available there. You can try the wonderful Dosas they make or the Idli or even the South Indian Thali. There are lots of roadside cafes serving South Indian food in Bangalore. But if you want to have authentic South Indian cuisine, then I would recommend a restaurant to you. It is TEMPTATIONS in Koramangala. They truly make authentic South Cuisine and you can get practically anything there. Not only that, you can get grilled sandwiches as well. I like the Masala Dosa very much.
Born Free in Bangalore
by Fudge
The Born Free girl sculpture created by John Deveraj and built together with hundreds of street children from the Bangalore area, sits in the centre of Yediyur Lake.
The sculpture symbolises the free spirit of every child, and addresses the issue of child labour in modern day Bangalore.
The lake is currently undergoig reclaimation and detoxification as cases have been reported of people having had effects on their eyesight and loss of hair from their faces (like eyebrows) from having been in the lake.
"Janothsava Jive"
The colourful beat of Janothsava, the street theatre organisation that encourages street children to develop their musical and artistically creative and expressive side :)
Bangarphet is about 1.5 hrs out of Bangalore.
These kids were form a village called Boodikote (pronounced Bu-Di-Kotee). On a weekday afternoon, school was out and they loved smiling for this shot :)
