Use government bus depot

You can reach Banglore city by train, or bus. If you are traveling by train get down at Banglore city junction or if you are traveling by Bus, get down at Majestic.
Try to Stay Near MAJESTIC. They are lot's hotels available at Majestic.

Use Banglore Government bus for roaming in the city.In Majestic you will find a railway station and two bus depot. They have their Banglore city Junction (Railway station for long way train or trains from different states), Bus depot (Buses to go in different states or for longway travel)and another Bus depot (Buses to travel in city) at Majestic.
From Majestic You will get bus to any corner of the city and viseversa.
At majestic you will find control room where you can ask for bus number to go for any part of the city, there is also a bigmap attached to wall at local bus depot at Majestic to find the bus routes.I think you can buy map there, I carried a printout with me.
If your staying at different place other big bus stands:
BTS, imp jun of major routes near lalbag
Jayanagar, soutj
Banashankari, South west
BTM south east
Vijaynagar, west
malleswaram,North west
Yeshawantpur, Far north west
Domlur, East
AUTORIKSHA: I had traved only once but they are fair enough.thats my opinion different from others. Before traveling by riksha you should know how far that place is and then talk with riksha driver and fix fare before you sit in Riksha. Even if he says I will go with meter ask him for rough idea about fare. But best way is to fix the rate in advance.
While coming back you can get train ticket at banglore city junction railway station, Goverment bus ticket at bus depot(whre you get buses for different state).Or there are plenty of traveling agents available, where you can get the ticket to your home.
Biggest problem is language,as everyone speaks Kannadi. Bus conductor or auto riksha person can talk in Hindi or English.
Cheers!
Bye
Visiting Asia is a dream to...

Visiting Asia is a dream to the mystical kingdoms and places rich in culture and traditions. One must make it a point to indulge in the cultural aspects and refrain oneselves from over outwardly intrusions. A subtle inquisitiveness is greatly appreciated and dress code is a must. Travelling to Banglore from Gorakhpur via train in India! I still remember the vastness of the rich green land filled with returning birds to their nest in the evening and the deep red sunset glow of the sun painted across the sky. The constant jerk of the train and the stillness of life outside reminded me of the vastness and beauty of the nature.
BANGALORE - THE GARDEN CITY OF INDIA
by ushar
BANGALORE , the capital of Karnataka stae, is one of Indias most charming cities today. The city was founded in 1537 by kempe Gowda. Bangalore's industrial take-off was spurred by visionaris like M. Visverswaraya and Sehadri in the early decaded of 20th century, at a time when the industrialisation of India was little thought of. Today, this garden city of India, can boast about having over 11000 industries with more than eight huge industrial belts. For the IT proffessionals this silicon valley in the making, is the best choice.
Aptly named the "Garden City", it boasts of an amazing number of flowering trees and parks with splendid pink cassias and golden acascias bloomin, with jacarandas flowering in purple majest and the gulmohar lighting the roads with flame - orange brillance, the city is a sheer delight to simply wander around in.
Banglore is also a shoppers's paradis where karanataka's fabulous traditional silks, coffee, jewellery and handicrafts can be bought at sleek, reliable shops.
