Beautiful Hotel; great location
We have stayed here on 3 separate occasions for more than 4-5 days at a time. This is a new very nicely done up hotel. The rooms are a bit small (you are in central Bangalore after all) but they have very good food and service to make up for it. They have a great breakfast bar which has an endless amount of choices. Many many business travellers opt to stay here because of that. The location is great; its close to a lot of offices and shopping.

Pai Viceroy in Jayanagar offers basic accomodation and is in a central business district at around Rs 3000 per nite. If you need to stay near the heart of the city try Woodlands on Richmond Road or Richmond Hotel. Some of my friends stay here when in Bangalore. All tariffs at around Rs 3000 to Rs 4000. Do let me know if that is ok or you need more options?

Around bus station and rail station, there are a lot of them, good ones are kamat, the bell, bangaloregate, etc.,
