Centre of town.

Very noisy from traffic and trains just outside, but maybe to be expected in such a central location.
Got a very good rate for a 2 centre stay travelling by coach from Singapore, booked through 5 Star Travel.
Breakfast OK but not as good as the Equatorial in the Cameron Highlands where we also stayed.

Unique Quality: Right in the middle of things.

A great valud

We got a fantastic deal through AsiaRooms.com. The hotel was great. It was in walking distance to the Petronas Towers and thus the mall and metro. The breakfast, which was included in our special rate, was fantastic with a huge variety of food. We did have one problem in that our room was adjoining to the next room, which had a very loud family with constantly shouting kids. We called the front desk several times with requests to be moved, which went ignored. We finally went down to the front desk and were eventually begrudgingly given keys to a new room. We had to move the extra rollaway bed our selves (down a floor), which I nearly tipped over, but luckily a friendly room attendant ran to the rescue and helped. The second room was fantastic with a view of the Petronas towers. It was very spacious with a large desk/work area and modern furnishings. The bathroom was large and in great condition, and we enjoyed the many amenities, including complimentary bottled water and fruit, which was delivered to our room daily. Despite the problem with service, we would not hesitate to stay here again if we got as good of a deal as we did--the hotel represents excellent value and provides a comfortable stay.

Unique Quality: A great location. Modern and spacious rooms.

A chic 4-star hotel

I liked the architecture of Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa, one of the latest hotels in Kuala Lumpur. The main selling point is probably the room - spacious, chic and modern. I simply loved the timber-strip floor. The overall interior design of the hotel isn't that bad either, with extensive usage of woods, exquisite lighting and adequate mirror. The pool is quite small though. Great morning buffet breakfast at the Tonka Beans Restaurant.

Unique Quality: The spacious and modern room, minimalist design concept overall.

AnCasa Hotel

Considering that this is rated a 3-star hotel, the room amenities are worthy of a 4-star rating. I would say, Lonely Planet's description is very apt: "a smarthotel that's of international standard"

There is a mini ref, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facility, cable TV, hot & cold water and bath tub. It is fully carpeted and has individually-controlled aircon. Upon request, they can lend you ironing facility and plug adaptor, free of charge.

Unique Quality: The hotel is in the periphery of Chinatown. Although it is subject to traffic jam 24 hours a day, it is its strategic location that I consider its advantage.

It is within walking distance of Petaling Street where the night market is. It is also adjacent to the Puduraya bus/taxi hub and is a stone's throw from Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni LRT stations. The hotel could also serve as your starting point for a walking tour of KL as it is close to some of the city's popular landmarks.

And, you definitely won't go hungry! There are fast food chains, convenience stores and street vendors almost at the hotel's doorstep.

Central Place to most of KL sites

The new name for this hotel is "Ancasa Hotel". Standard double room is a bit small, especially the bathroom.
The room comes with a complimentary tea, coffee and water bottles.
Number of shower towles in the bathroom is only two. There are no hand towels or floor twoles until you request them to provide you.
Breakfast is not good, and the restaurant doesn't have variety of choices on lunch, mostly local or chineese food.

Unique Quality: Very near from Puduraya bus station. and very close to china town.

Great location and amazing atmosphere

You should try to enjoy your stay in Impiana. Nice room located in a town center where in every step you find what you need ... And what more can I add when breakfast was tasty and room service very good.

Unique Quality: It has very clean rooms, every morning newspaper is waiting for you in front of your door, staff is friendly and prices are quite normal. I was satisfied and I am sure many of you will be to ...

Ancasa Kuala Lumpur Hotel

The service is good... There is also a Business Centre for those who need such services... with all amendities for a 3* hotel... Wide variety of food in the Lobby Coffeehouse and prices are fair...

(NOTE: The hotel is previously known as the Impiana Hotel)...

Unique Quality: Public transport accessiblity to the hotel is excellent with the inter-city bus/coach station about 100m away.. Within walking distance is Chinatown at Jalan Petaling...

Hi. I have booked my accommodation at Ancasa Hotel (KL) and also researched on a few food places to go. However, i can't get much info on how to go to those places or whether those places will be near or too far from Ancasa hotel.

Jalan Medan Imbi
100 Jalan Petaling
Jalan Yew, Pudu
Jalan Besar Ampang

These are the places, i will like to go, can someone help me with the transport? I preferably will like to use the LRT (transit system) or taxis.

Which station do i alight? and for taxi how much am i expected to pay. (meter and no meter)

thank you everybody in advance.

Re: From Ancasa Hotel KL

by arissyam

hi

im not sure on some of the locations. maybe the eating places name will help. i MUST remind u that meter usage in taxi in KL is a mandatory or driver can charged on the court. never go for taxi that refuse to go by meter or youll be ripped off. there a thousands of taxi in kl for 24/7/365.

from ancasa hotel to

Jalan Medan Imbi - taxi - MYR 5 or MYR 6 - 10 -15 minutes (depends on traffic)
most of the roads are one way...
- walking - free - 10 to 15 minutes

100 Jalan Petaling - walking distance - 3-5 minutes - the hotel staff will surely happy to show u the way

Jalan Yew - lrt - MYR 1.20 - go to the plaza rakyat lrt and board the train to Pudu Station
- taxi - around MYR 8-9 - 15 to 20 minutes

Jalan Besar Ampang - not sure - whether its the long strech of jalan ampang (from rennaisance hotel to bukit belacan.. maybe) or ampang town it self

if its located at jalan ampang PUTRA LRT will help alot for u to travel there

if its located at Ampang Main Road STAR LRT will do..

Taxi to ampang will not cost u more than MYR20.
