Creperie near the Musee Rodin
Freezing cold and very hungry we walked up the Rue de Bourgogne looking for this place. We found it in a book called Great Eats Paris and were searching for it on the corner of Rue Grenelle and Rue de Bourgogne. Turns out its just past the corner almost out of sight. Heh, we almost gave up. Luckily we didn't. This was a great experience for my parents who had not yet eaten in a real French creperie. There are many flour and buckwheat crepes available...and don't forget the desert crepes. We all chose a different crepe and accompanied them with cups of hot tea to stave off the chill from the snow outside. As I remember the had all the simple jambon et oeuf, jambon et fromage crepes as well as several more complex ones, champignons et emmenthal, canard et epinards avec oeufs. I think they all had names as well but I can't remember now. The selection of teas was big enough to satisfy everyone as well. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who sees the Rodin museum in the morning and finishes up around lunch time. The walk to the restaurant is very short from the Maison Biron. I had the crepe with smoked duck, spinach and eggs along with a nice hot pot of earl grey tea. I finished it all off with a nice desert crepe with chocolat and chantilly.
