Walking Distance to the Eiffel Tower
The hotel de l'Alma is a great little hotel that is located in the 7th district of Paris on a quiet one way street about a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. The Ecole Militaire Metro stop is also about a 5 minute walk away and is very convenient for getting around the city. In the surrounding streets you'll find all kinds of grocery shops (a fruit vegetable shop is right next door), restaurants and pharmacies for all of your needs.
Unique Quality: The staff is friendly, helpful and most of them speak English which is useful for non-French speakers. Maps and city guides are available at the reception desk so don't forget to pick one up on your way out.
Rooms are typical of Paris, somewhat small but comfortable. Enough room for your stuff and to sleep. A private toilet/shower/bath room is also included with the room.
Rooms come with a stocked mini bar which I find useful for chilling water and other drinks in preparation for the next day. Rooms also have TVs which are good for catching up on world news and to check out local shows.
The room that I was in faced inward to a courtyard which was fairly quiet with the exception of a bird that chirped from about 8am till the early evening. If you're a late sleeper don't forget your earplugs but I enjoyed not having to set my alarm clock in the morning.
