Boutique Hotel

My Partner and I are from Australia and we stayed at the Hôtel Dauphine Saint Germain 36 Rue Dauphine in the Latin quarter last September 07. It is approx 2oo metre from Pont Neuf, 500m from Notre Dame walking distance to Louvre, Opera & the wonderful La Fayette Shopping centre. The area is full of Bistros, Boutique's, street theatre & history. She loved the shopping available and St Michel underground Station is nearby. We had 5 Nites stay for a total of 850 Euro including continental Breakfast. We enjoyed it immensly.
Although the room was small, we had our own toilet, bath and shower. The staff were pleasant, attentive and knowledgable
This part of Paris was a Wonderful joyful experience.

Hotels in Toulon

by gauravm03 about Grand Hotel Dauphine

Very nice hotel with very friendly staff, free parking in the center of the town, large room and plus we got a great deal on venere.com

50 euros per night for a double room in May 2009

Location is next to the Opera house. A lot of eateries around. Also very near to the market only 2 mins and you can stroll through the market to the promenade in about 15 mins.

There was some construction going on on the exterior of the hotel building but since we were there ona weekend night there was no work happening. May want to check that with the hotel.

Staff was very courteous. Breakfast prices are a bit steep so we had it outside.

I would stay here again if I get the same deal. Very good location
1 min from Opera
1 min from market
10 -15 mins from the promenade
1 min from old town squares

Hotel in near Toulon station

by gauravm03 about Hotel Grand La Gare

Locared right opposite the toulon station, with a good eatery next door serving french cusine for reasonable prices. A guarded car park just below with a discount for the hotel guests

Room was clean but a little small. It had a TV, sir conditioning and we paid 52 euros a night in May 2009.

Nothing great but nothig bad either. I liked the location. I did not like that the reception took money for the 2 nights we were staying when we checked in but did not give us a receipt. He asked us to collect it the next day. We were stayin in Toulon for 3 nights but had to change hotels due to lack of availability. Our other hotel Grand Hotel Dauphine was better. Even they asked us to pay while checking in, this seems normal in this part of France but they gave me a receipt immediately

The eatery next door was great and serves food almost till mid night.

Would not have issues staying here again if I come back to Toulon Good locaion, right opposite the station but a bit far from the old town around 10 - 15 mins walk
Clean room but basic and a little small
Good value for money
Very nice eatery downstairs

I have stayed at both hotels and can tell you they are both great. Both the hotels are 3 stars and you should expect to pay about 150 Euro for hotel tax and breakfast, depending on the time of year. IT mauy perhaps be a bit more right now as you are entering high season. The standard rooms are small, but well appointed, the bathrooms were quite nice size and well light. Both hotels are clean and the area is supurb. We have stayed at least 10 times in the St. Germain area and we would recommend either hotel

I've stayed at both this year and would definitely recommend the Regent - the room was smaller than the one we had at the Dauphine, but in all other ways (service, efficiency, decor) I thought the Regent better. Not that the Dauphine is bad, but we found Regent really excellent.
YMMD.

We have stayed at Hotel Dauphine numerous times but never at Le Regent. Would anyone happen to know bed size in a standard Le Regent room? Double or queen by US standards? Many thanks.
