My friend and I stayed at this 2-star 49-room hotel during our trip to Paris in the summer 2003. This is no luxury hotel, but if all you want is a cheap bed while exploring the city - this will do. The rooms aren't too small and neither the bathrooms, but it's kind of cozy and you got what you need - a bed, a bathroom and a TV. The staff is friendly and a small breakfeast is included in the price as always.
The area around this quite typical Parisian hotel (10th arrondissement) offers some shops, some cafe's and some restaurant.
From the top-floor rooms you'll actually be able to see the top of the Eiffel Tower peak above the roof-tops!
This is really all I need when visiting Paris, cause I don't want to spend my precious time at a hotel anyway. So, I've booked this for my 2004-stay too.
Unique Quality: The most unique thing about this place must be the price and the easy access to Gare de l'est - and thereby also more than one metro line
Directions: Standing in front of Gare de l'est with your back against the trainstation, you'll just have to walk less than two minutes down Boulevard Strasbourg on the left side!
