We had a family vacation - 2 Adults, 1 teenager and a 10 year old to Paris in early April 2006. This was one of the very few hotels in Paris where I found accommodations for 4 without paying an arm and a leg. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, the quality of fixtures in the room, the cleanliness, the courteous staff and a great breakfast buffet. Check to see if you can at least get a 50% discount on breakfast buffet, if not entirely free. As in most of France, kids always get favorably treated in terms of price structure. List price was 22 E. kids under 12 were free. So, we got away with 33 E a day for breakfast - and trust me, that is a steal in Paris. and the buffet stayed open pretty late into the morning which was good for late risers like us. Being late risers, and we were lucky to get a room with a view of the courtyard. Although the streets outside were bustling with activity, it was unbelievably quiet in our room. The metro entrance is 20 feet to the right of the hotel and it took less than 10 minutes to reach any of the tourist attractions. The concierge - Oliver- was extremely helpful and helped us book a side trip on the TGV. He gave us plenty of money saving tips as well. Tickets for the Seine boat rides are discounted at the concierge as well. So are tickets for the Louvre. no need to stand in line at the ticket machines inside the Louvre. We stayed there for 10 days and will pick this hotel in a heartbeat again. The only negative I found was that there was no coffee maker in this particular room(Superior type). Everything else about this hotel was fantastic.
