Hotel Bastille De Launay: Perfect base from which to conquer Paris
Satisfaction:

We stayed for 2 nights at this place and prior to arrival had a few concerns about some of the reviews we had read. The hotel was however very good. Our room was front facing and was very clean and quiet. The €10 breakfast is a good way to fuel up for the day and offers much better value for money than cafe breakfasts. My only gripe is that I couldn't get the staff to reply to my emails beforehand to book the shuttle bus from CDG airport. On hindsight however this was not a problem. The cheapest way to travel between the airport and hotel is by train from the metro station around the corner.
We Stayed in this Hotel in June 2006 for three nights It is in a quiete street just a few minutes walk to the nearest Metro and ten minutes walk to the Bastille .The De Launay serves continental breakfast in a cellar room which is very good and there are plenty of eating places around with a wide variety of food . The Hotel was clean and comfortable with a small courtyard the bedroom was a bit on the small side but larger rooms than ours were available . The only problem we had there was the television would not work and when we asked the manager for it to be repaired nothing was done maybe we should have complained again but after being out all day we were to tired to bother but still it would have been nice to watch an hour of telly after a hard days sight seeing It was still broken when we left .
Good if you want somewhere quiete without a view and close to the transport system
