Perfect located and very nice

Try always to stay in this hotel while in Paris. It is 1 minute walk to Champs Elysses and in a fairly quiet street. Very delicate rooms with beatiful bath, that gives you the feeling of luxury.
If you are lucky to get the top floor - it is veery nice.
Perfect for a nice weekend with your houseband or friend.

Calling All Paris Experts:

by Smartblonde

We are making our first trip to France in July, and being shown around Paris by a dear friend from London who always stays at the D'Angleterre Hotel, near Champs Elysees, at 91 Rue La Boetie. The place looks less than charming, from the pictures~~kind of like a bad seventies movie~~and I need a hotel close to hers, in which we can stay to avoid insulting our friend. We want to graciously bow out of staying at this orange and brown-looking Motel 6, if we can. We are looking to pay around 300 USD per night, and would love something that really says Paris...
Thanks a lot!!

I did a search through Venere.com and found three very nice hotels based on their websites. They are within your price range and near the same metro, Franklin-D Roosevelt, as D'Angleterre Hotel.

Until February, I am staying with my sister in Long Beach, if you want to email me. Also, you may want to check my Paris page.

For that price, you should be able to find something very nice. The Hotel Chateaubriand on the street of the same name is another choice in that neighborhood. Is this person is a friend, she'll understand that you may want to stay elsewhere than her choice.

I suggest you check out the hotels in the Champs Elysees area using tripadvisor.com. You can skip the high end ones such as George V. There appear to be several very good hotels in your price range with great user reviews. (I use tripadvisor before I book any hotel) The down side about using some of the smaller hotels is the lack of a concierge that can get you into some of the more posh restaurants, etc. I don't know how "close" you need to be. I enjoy the area around Madeliene which is probably a 10 minute fast walk, 15 minute cruise to the CE area. You are probably only a stop or two away by Metro.

Hello,

We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Monna Lisa which is located right off the Champs Elysees. It's a boutique hotel, and all the rooms are decorated with different versions of the Da Vinci classic. Ironically, it's located on the same street as your friend's "Mod Squad" hotel! ;-)

97, Rue De La Boétie, Paris, 75008

I read that the Monna Lisa just went through some renovations, so perhaps it's even better now. You can read more about this hotel:

Although the rooms are tiny, you can't beat the location! The rates should fit within your price range.

Enjoy!
