A lovely small...
Hotel Daval **
A lovely small hotel just 2 minutes walk from Place de la Bastille and the metro station !
Budget price and wonderful service !
Between 60$-75$ a night.
Unique Quality: Although the hotel is very small , the rooms were very comfortable with a large bed, TV, shower and safe in every room.
The workers in the hotel were very helpful,friendly and always happy to chat with you in the lobby when you don't feel like going out !
The Hotel itself is situated in a small street very close to many bars, cafes and resturants where you can hang out at night and come back to the hotel very drunk !
If you love walking and shopping you can walk from the hotel through Rue de Rivoli and further and get to the Louvre and Champs Elysee and some other interesting places , it's really fun and it takes about and hour if you don't get into all the shopping centers in the area ! :).

Hotel Daval was a wonderful...
Hotel Daval was a wonderful place to stay. Great location, just a block away from the 'Rue de Lappe' an extremely popular area full of nightlife.
I think it ended up being about $80 night.
Unique Quality: remodeled not long before we stayed in 1999, room was small but very clean and modern, with cable TV. Bathroom not much bigger than the one in my RV back home, but functional. Has an elevator, maybe one person and one bag may fit in it.
Management occasionally had a german shepard dog in residence, very friendly though (dog and management).
