Location of our hotel
Hi!!
I haven´t find good Paris map yet and I´d like to ask who knows how far away our hotel is from Champs Elysée? Our hotel name is hotel D´amiens and it´s very near Gare du Nord station. I also would like to know what kind of things are close to our hotel (for example shops, sights, nightlife, restaurants etc.. Thanks for all answers.

RE: Location of our hotel
Your hotel is about 2.5 km (1.5 mi) from the Champs Elysee. A good Paris map can be found on www.lonelyplanet.com. I don't know the area of your hotel very well but you are about 1 km from the Sacre Couer Cathedral which is in the Montmartre District. This district has a number of great little Bistros - I can recommend Marie's Bistro just across the street from the rear of the Cathedral. Also, you are not far from the Moulin Rouge Nightclub - expensive (some say it is a tourist trap) but the show is great. Don't worry about good shopping - it's everywhere in Paris. RE: Location of our hotel
You hotel is not very close to the Champs Elysées, although everything is at hand by metro. The area of Gare du Nord hasn't got a lot of nightlife, and i wouldn't really recommend it at night anyway, it might be seedy.
