The hotel is small, a 2 star, the rooms are comfortable enough, bathrooms are clean and the location is phenominal. It is only 20 meters from Blvd. St Germain and Metro Maubert. On the corner of Rue des Carmes and Germain is a lovely Patisserie and a Boulangerie as well as a solid Brasserie. Rue des Carmes is only a 5-10 minute walk to Notre Dame, and is centrally located for the Latin Quarter.
The staff at the hotel are very polite, and they speak English fluently (I speak French but witnessed detailed conversations in English). The cleaning staff is polite as well. With any 2 star you will find the rooms smaller and any form of salon to be small, this goes along with a 2 star rating. The cost of this hotel is relatively low, and as such you may find it loud if you have a room facing the "courtside" (windows open during the warm seasons will allow for you to hear latecomers.
I recommend this hotel but do try and reserve a room that has windows facing the street. Again this is not trying to be a 5 star but is exellent "bang for the buck"
Tremendous location in the Latin Quarter
