The hotel itself is ok. Nothing special, but it was clean and basic. However, I have to say that unfortunately I had a very precious item stolen from my room here. It was not an expensive item, just a necklace with a "cartouche" hanging from it, but for me it was the most valuable thing in the room. I can't believe I left it in the room, and further, I cannot believe it was stolen.
It was about 1:00 PM and I had slept in so showered late. The maid came wanting to clean the room, and I asked her if she could come back in just a short while. A bit later my phone rang and I was having a conversation on the phone (2 PM) and the maid returned, so in a hurry, I hung up the phone and left so that she could fix the room without me being in her way. I left the necklace on the table in my haste and when I came back, it was gone.
Yes, I searched everywhere and later filed a police report. The hotel staff was not concerned at all and this is why I would not stay here again. The lesson is: whether valuable or not, at this hotel, or another, if you don't want to lose something precious to you, don't leave it.
