Bramma Cafe

We found the Bramma Cafe more or less by chance on the internet. We contacted them by e-mail and finally booked a double room for 3 nights.

The cafe is located in a building whose history dates back to the middle of the 17th century. They rent out four comfortable double rooms for 140 PLN (2010) per room per night without breakfast.

Our room was large and besides a bathroom it also included a small corridor.

A TV set and tea and coffee making facilities were available as well. We found Bramma Cafe a very good alternative to the more expensive hotels in town.

Bramma Cafe: In front of Lublin Castle

There is a very comfortable accommodation at the Old City just in front of the Lublin Castle called Bramma Cafe. There are four rooms each with a bathroom, TV and internet connection. Bramma Café is a perfect place for accommodation in Lublin, as you are in the city center, so you can visit almost all Lublin monuments just on foot. What is more important you can enjoy nightlife at Lublin Old City cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs which are all situated just few steps away.

Bramma Café is located in a unique place at the Grodzka City Gate just in the front of the Castle, so you have an outstanding view from you room. There are a lot of historic places to make photos, as Lublin Old City is the best preserved old city in Poland. Although it is still not renovated, photographers find it as a great advantage. In summer there is a great music and a folk art festival in Lublin at the Old Town.

Campanile, Lublin: French hotel chain

Have stayed at a Hotel Campanile in the UK so had some idea of what to expect. The room was compact, with no space wasted. There was limited space for clothing and if 2 people were staying any length of time it would be tight. There is air conditioning in the rooms which is set fairly cold. I was forced to put on a jumper though it was in the mid 20's outside. The staff spoke excellent english, were very polite and helpful. There is a guarded car park with access via your room card, which is great, unfortunately it costs another 15 zoltys a day.

The hotel is brand new with entry to the rooms by a plastic card. Some thought has gone into the bed and bedding which is as comfortable as you can get. The breakfast buffet is very well presented with some hot food. Though it does seem to tail off on a Monday because of the lack of guests, which is common in lots of hotels in Poland. I used the hotel because they give a discounted rate at weekends and it is a 15/20 minute walk into the city centre.
