Valencia Sep 16 for two days
I am going to Valencia to Barcelona for 2 days and I am staying at the
Utell International Confortel Aqua 3
LUIS GARCIA BERLANGA ESQUINA, VALENCIA ES 46001
Is it a good location? How are the beaches in Valencia? Worthed going or is not the fortee of the city? Is there anything special going on at this time in Valencia, like a festival? Does people dress up at night there?
Any input is welcome.

Your hotel is based near the City of Arts and Sciences, which is being marketed as the cool place to live these days. You're about 30 minutes walk from the city centre and old centre (which personally I prefer - more character). You can get a 19 bus from the North side of the Turia riverbed (ie opposite side from City of Arts and Sciences to the beach, it'll take about 20 mins. The beach is big, pretty clean and nice. Locals say there are better beaches further along the coast, but I like the convenience of this one. Weather should be nice around mid Sept for a beach visit. Try the paella in the restuarants in the Las Arenas area of the beach. Can't think of anything particular being celebrated in Valencia city at that time but there may be harvest festivals in surrounding towns or villages. Ask in Tourist Info when you arrive.
