We've been to the Inverness ice rink a few times in the last 3-4 years.

The junior hockey club has been going through a bad spell (as many smaller clubs do, from time to time) due to lack of numbers. On my son's last visit for a league fixture his team won 29-2. No fun for the home team, or the watching parents on either side.

The rink is primarily based on curling, like so many in Scotland. However, it also has public skating and figure skating.

Equipment: Warm clothing - it gets cold in there. The rink does have a bar, which is warm. Its not usually open during ice hockey sessions, but you can sit in there to warm up!

Loch Ness for Boaters

Although we can't tell you how or where, you can find boats on the Loch Ness at just about any time. It looked like fun, and we possibly would have tried it if we had had more time in Inverness
