Limelight Tips (4)

Built within the shell of a vast stone church, it features a massive stage, video screens, stained glass windows, an outdoor garden, several dancefloors, a DJ booth/party room suspended over the cavernous main dancefloor, numerous futuristic bar stations, and a coat check larger than many other clubs' dancefloors.

Exit, The Sound Factory, Limelight: Clubs: I'm out of the Loop!

Ok, I'm now out of the loop on NYC clubs for a couple of years now. Eeek! Clubs in New York often get into trouble with drugs, so they get shut down after a while even though they are quite popular.

Exit became the premire club when Twilo was permanently closed. (Twilo was the best club in the city, period.) It's absolutely huge and features the good DJs. I'm not sure if it's still open.

The Sound Factory was always questionably ghetto.

Limelight: Very nice club. The music tends to be a little better here, but sometimes the crowd can be a little snobby. This venue is an old Church, which makes it rather interesting. There's stain glass windows and everything.

Dress Code Exit and Soundfactory were whatever. Limelight was a bit nicer dress.

Limelight: Limelight

Mad club - built in a converted church has rooms all over the place. The main room is bound to entice a religious experience out of you. The night we were there, there was a techno night on in the main room, a hip hop night in the back room and some kind of Goth/Geiger type thingie on upstairs - bizarre mix of people.

Dress Code You name it, you can wear it! The night we went there were goths, skaters, business men and all sorts... very weird.
