Now D-Villa Residence
Not recommended. Place is old and not clean. Booked here because it is across from the Thai Embassy and I had business there. The rooms were not what were advertised on the internet and the deluxe one bedroom was just pathetic. The place was crawling with roaches particularly in the kitchenette. Ordered their so called room service and that was unedible. The breakfast I had in the cafe was just old, cold and disgusting. Rooms on the poolside are to be avoided if you are looking for some quiet time, people in the pool from early in the morning until 10pm and they the noise carries up the side of the building.
Certainly not a bargain for what I paid for a room. Service is poor and when you hang the do not disturb sign that is a welcome mat for housekeeping and reception to contact you.
There is nothing near by except the train station about 10 minute walk. If you have to been in this area for the many embassies located nearby I would suggest the Nomad Sucasa. It is not great but leaves D-Villa in its wake. Food is good over there and at least they treat the place with some respect and understand to a point that in the hotel industry hygiene is important.
Unique Quality: The pool is nice and you get a reasonable view of the Petronas Towers.

Much nicer than a hotel
Nice accommodation, including lounge and kitchen and dining area. Large shower. Serviced apartment each day. Definitely recommend it as cheap or cheaper than a hotel
Unique Quality: Has nice pool - small but just OK. If you get the right room you have a great view of the Petronas Towers, especially if you are on the 19th floor.

Holiday Villa Apartment Suites
Check in was fast and efficient, and the staff were extremely friendly.
We booked a one bedroom apartment, but when we arrived, all the one bedrooms were filled, so they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom apartment (making sure we were happy with the arrangements)!
We had an AWESOME view of KL city from the balcony (photo provided). So it was an excellent start to our first visit to KL, and we were very excited by the view.
The room was very spacious, and the kitchen was large, pretty modern, and very clean. The bedroom was spacious too. And the living/dining area was big too!!! All in all, and very spacious and attractive room!!! Very happy!!!!
The only downside to this place is the location.... it's a bit too far to walk to the major shopping area of Bukit Bintang! But if you are happy with catching taxis, or long walks.... than this hotel is fine. But like I said, it's an excellent place to stay (especially if you have a family and want to budget by cooking your own meals in the kitchen)... but just too far out from the main shopping areas.
Unique Quality: This place has it's own taxi light too, so any time you need a taxi, they bush the button, their falshing sign turns on, and a taxi usualyl pulls in within about 2-3 minutes..... never have to wait longer than 4 minutes... it's a good system!!!
The staff were also very helpful in arranging accommodation in our next destination (Genting Highlands), than they even arranged a private limo to take us, at a very reasonable price!!!
Overall it's an excellent place, nice, clean & spacious rooms, and the staff are all delightful.... the only downside is the location!!!!!!

I wouldn't advice!
Compared to my past accomadations in Kuala Lumpur, Holiday Villa hardly left an impact on my memory. Indeed the interior is unusual, centering on a Pernakan environment, yet it was far from homely. The staff wasn't anything to rave about. In fact the only staff worth remembering was the bell boy who aimed to please. Very tight security at parking area though which is excellent. Several faults with my suite, which was a 2+1 and which they had upgraded us to an executive suite, was the unit hadn't been thoroughly cleaned beforehand. The rooms have built-in cupboards which i browsed through only to find a pair of underwears and razors. Not something I had expected that's for sure! Another drawer in a different room had old newspapers in it. That was just the first night. The next night after returning from PJ, housekeeping only refreshed 3 of the 4 towels, and one of it was even wet!
CONS!!! They offer internet service(cable) for a fee(RM 5 i believe), and you can have internet service in your suite for RM30 for 24 hours. The building has a resident restaurant which offers wireless connection with the common courtesy that guests will but some services. I wouldn't recommend it, as seriously overpriced. Instead use the area between the glass doors and the convienience store as there is free wireless.
Unique Quality: I only had the time to view the pool, but it looked big and had a nice view overlooking Petronas Twin Towers. Has a tiny gym facility within the same floor.

Holiday Villa Apartment Suites
We were given a 2 bedroom apartment and, though not flashy, it was definitely clean and very comfortable.
It's close to KLCC, about 45 mins from the airport and would be a great choice if travelling as a family or a group.
