pleasantly surprised
We booked this guest house over the internet, but after reading reviews later we were regretting our decision. perhaps we ahd been too hasty as we were reading reports about bedbugs, noise etc. However, on arrival we found the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms immaculately clean and not as noisy as expected. A good breakfast was included. The guest house was near the famous hawkers street for eating, Jalan Alor and a few minutes walk to the monorail station. It was excellently situated and easy to travel to other parts of the city. We stayed four days and i would definitely stay there again

cheap, and in Golden Triangle
Besides the location, I wasn't especially impressed by this place. For rooms, you can either choose an interior room (a bit cheaper) that's windowless, or a room with a window (like I had), where you have to deal with incredible street noise, especially given the popular bar across the street on weekend nights.
The bed was fine...the shared baths were clean enough, and I never had to wait. The staff pleasant, but could have bit a bit more helpful.
Location, though, is top notch.
Unique Quality: Nice rooftop garden for breakfast which is included....or, having a few beers at the end of the day.

Budget Accomodation in Central KL
Service was friendly and the price was right. 45RM a night for a room with 2 single beds and a/c. The shared washroom was clean, along with the rest of the facilities. The internet onsite was a nice touch, along with a TV in the lobby.
Unique Quality: Fairly average lodge, but very clean.

Cheap & Sweet Accomodation in KL
Backpacker/budget traveller friendly digs. All the rates are per room per night and include a set breakfast of toast, butter, jam, coffee/tea, fruit and a piece of cake, as follows: Single RM45 - RM55, Double RM55 - RM65, Dormitory style beds RM20. Shared toilets/showers - 2 per floor.
Unique Quality: Guest comment: It's a great hostel to stay. Very clean, in a good location, reasonable place, good facilities: air con, internet connection, breakfast, laundry, and a very cool roof top garden. I made many new friends in the hostel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

KL finest hostel
I stayed here for 3 weeks and I can tell you: this is a gem! A little bit more expensive than the grotty places in Chinatown, but that's worth it for sure. Great and tidy rooms with aircon, a lot of spots and corners where you can hangout and a roof-garde. And last but certainly not least: the breakfast.
Unique Quality: The roofgarden

F1 party to company on bed!
Well, this pondok [means small place to stay] is cool. It's situated upstair of King Fisher Resto and Zino Bar and has a rooftop sitting area. RM50 per night is fine :)
Unique Quality: Romantic enough to see around Bukit Bintang at the night from the rooftop. And not to be missed is F1 party all night long after Qualifying Day. The group band performed their songs directly on front of Pondok Lodge [errrrrrr, I need additional pillows to close my ears :)].

Pondok Lodge or Pujangga Home Stay
Has anyone stayed in Pondok Lodge or Pujangga Home Stay ? Someone asked me if its clean ? Thanks
RE: Pondok Lodge or Pujangga Home Stay
Hi,
I visited Pondok Lodge just for a look about a year ago. The owners were quite friendly and the rooms looked OK. However, the customers are mostly young British backpackers who like to drink.
RE: RE: Pondok Lodge or Pujangga Home Stay
I was in Pondok Lodge rest room while waiting for another VT the other day. The place was clean and quite good.
RE: Pondok Lodge or Pujangga Home Stay
Hi Keny
Well i stayed at Pondok Lodge for five nights recently and it was a great experience. Its very neat and friendly place. They just charged me RM 45 per night for single AC non- window room. Window rooms for RM 50 were very nice.
Complimetary American breakfast is served 7-10 am. In reception they have internet facility with 3-4 PCS and they charge RM 4 per hour. Juices, water and drinks are also available at reception. There is a kitchen and dinning area in case you wanna cook. There is a nice guest/sitting room where you can read books / newspaper.
TV at reception shows English movies 24 hours. Laundry service for RM 8 per 4 kg clothes is provided. You can press your clothes for free 24 hours. You can store backpacks for RM 2 per day.
95 % of their guests are young European and Australian backpackers. Bar and pubs are located close so some time any of them could come back drunk. But they never created any problems atleast. I had a great stay and would stay with them again too.
I hope it helps. Cheers !
