The Saujana is located in Shah Alam, near Subang Airport.
A quiet and tranquil place for you and your family.
We were upgraded to the Club room upon check-in, no questions asked. :D
The rooms are huge and spotless.
Wide spread of food for breakfast.
Unique Quality: There's a free van shuttle to the nearby malls such as Sunway, Megamall.
You need to make your own way back though.
Taxi are readily available, but do bargain with the fares before getting into a cab.
Directions: Near the Old Subang Airport
Strangely, this hotel is considered to be in the Subang/Petaling Jaya area and not Kuala Lumpur itself.
The room is very well furnished and the bed firm but comfortable.
However upon arrival, our towels are soaking wet from the huge amount condensate generated form the air conditioner. However a call to housekeeping replaced them within 3 minutes. Impressive! A technician even came before we went out to inspect the air conditioning system.
BTW, it is no longer under the Hyatt umbrella but GHM (General Hotel Management) group. It is now simply called The Saujana which in Malay means "as far as the eye can see". It fits the description with it's sprawling landscape and wide open golf greens.
We returned recently (Aug 2007) to the Saujana. It is undergoing renovations. Still as peaceful as ever. Tired looking but still good. Staff are still as responsive to our needs.
Unique Quality: It is actually next to the Saujana Golf and Country Club. Golfers will find it a joy here. The surrounds are peaceful and I was given a garden/pool view room. We enjoyed watching the squirrels on the trees outside our window.
Kindly note that this hotel is far away from KL itself. Around 26km away. This is more like a driver's hotel. Unless you have a car, you will have difficulty getting to KL. The nearest LRT station is at Kelana Jaya. Even for driving to KL, you will have to face the horrendous traffic snarls on the Federal Highway. It is best you drive to Kelana Jaya to park and then ride the LRT into the city. Else, you can drive to Mid Valley Mega Mall, park there and take the KTM Commuter.
Directions: To get here from Singapore. Take head north on the E2. Exit the E2 at the Nilai exit and head north on the E6 (ELITE). Exit at 104 (Subang) and head for SAAS or Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (old Subang Airport).

THE SPA WAS TERRIBLE
I went to The spa and it's terrible. My husband n I each booked a 90min massage. It includes a complementary 15min steam bath and 20min foot reflexology. But all we get wat a 15min steam bath and 45min massage (instead of 90min massage. When we asked the masseur, they actually told us that the 15min steam bath is included in the 90min. When we complained to the front desk, all they could offer was to give us a complementary massage of 45min the next time we visit. This actually means we're paying for a 90min massage but split into 2sessions. The spa manager came out and nothing much was done. We ended up paying for 2 sessions of 60min massage. In conclusion, we paid 2 sessions of 60min massage but only had a 45min massage with no additional 20min foot reflexogy. I'll definitely NOT RETURN. WORST SPA I've ever been to.
