Great value for money close to Seoul Tower
by Vita500 about Namsan Guesthouse
Haven't stayed there myself but I recently checked out the location and facilities and couldn't find any major concerns.
Rooms include a double bed, mirror, cable TV, hair dryer, hair brush, shampoo, shower gel, towles and touthpaste.
The rates also include daily breakfast, free Internet access, shuttle services to Namdaemun and Dongdaemun as well as rental of mobile phones... which, frankly speaking, is simply amazing.
It's conveniently located less than 5 minutes away from Myeongdong and the Namsan cable car.
The below rate is based on single occupancy!
(rooms generally accommodate up to three persons)

Where to stay in Chung-gu
by Starbee
Can you please recommend an affordable place or guesthouse to stay in Chung-gu? I am staying in Korea for 5 days with my sister. I am in the look out for a place that is near the seoul City Hall. I appreciate your response

There are a couple of possibilities: Han Suites and the Ibis Myeong-dong are affordable hotels. Otherwise, the Namsan Guesthouse is very conveniently located. Just to name a few...
Have a look at my VT Seoul page for further details first and let me know if there are any questions left to ask.

Robert

Has anyone stayed in Everland New Cabin Hostel? Is it worth a night there?

I don't have an address for you, but I thing the "Dr Fish Spa" is actually located in Icheon (not to be confused with Incheon).

by redlover
Hi ! I will be in Seoul end of January 2006 but I haven't booked any hotels yet. Was wondering if anyone can recommend any cheap hotels near the Namdaemon Market.
Thanks !

Hi Red,
I think the Namsan Guesthouse might be most convenient to you. Have a look at my accommodation tips on my Seoul page for details.
If you prefer staying at a real hotel, you might wanna check out www.asiarooms.com, as they usually offer some pretty good rates.
Cheers,
Robert

Hi
we stayed at the New Oriental Hotel which is v. close to Namdaemon Market. It cost 83000 won but you can get a 10% discount if you pay in cash. It's ok - well a bit retro actually.
I think the Astoria may be ok as well but didn't stay there as they seemed to bump up their prices over the weekend.
